The Entrepreneurship movement in Venezuela
In 2011 the Ecosistema Nacional de Emprendimiento EneVenezuela(National Entrepreneurship Ecosystem) is in charge of the organization of activities and events for the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Venezuela. Within EneVenezuela there are more than 80 organizations, working and networking to promote entrepreneurial activities that will enhance the importance and awareness of entrepreneurship in our country.
We have developed a set of key messages and guidelines around an entrepreneur´s development route: el camino del emprendedor. Expanding on our 2010 experience, which included 183 activities and more than 35,000 participants, we want to focus this year on mass messages. Thus, we are launching an institutional commercial for TV, radio and multimedia, with the support of many media Associations and unions that will broadcast our institutional video. We are asking all Venezuelan entrepreneurs to sign online the Declaración del Emprendedor(Declaration of the Entrepreneur) and comment it with friends and family during the GEW as a way to promote entrepreneurial values in Venezuela´s homes and schools. Through this mass media campaign we hope to have a larger amount of people joining and actively participating in many more events during the GEW. Contests have also been developed so that many more people can get involved and participate.
We believe that the GEW 2011 in our country will exceed our own expectations and will involve many more Venezuelans. We are aiming to create a true national entrepreneurial movement and encourage many more people to initiate projects and contribute to job creation and the revitalization of our economy.
